Problem #1

I read somewhere in sites cited below:
The upshot of all this is that the scarcity model of the Price System worked well when there existed a natural scarcity. However, now that technology and rich natural resources have eliminated scarcity, an entirely new economic model is required. We have changed our methods of production from an argrarian model to a technological one, thus we must also change our method of distribution from an agrarian model to a technological one.
There are still natural scarities, some very critical, and some with increasing scarcity:
  1. Petroleum.
  2. Water.
Global competiton for these two resources will sharpen in the decades to come. Hopefully societies will resolve to purchase their share of these resources as opposed to seizing them by force.

I have another problem with this quotation, but the above will do for a start.

Very good Food Blogger , now you are scratching below the surface and connecting with the subject.
Around 1913 machine power took the place of human labor , and human energy in working, became an antique concept.
The process of change started in the 17th century with the steam engine.
Humans put out about 1/20th of a horse power of energy. A machine hundreds of horsepower.
Growing food or manufacturing goods then became a different concept in a different context, and the value of human labor should have changed.
Instead of changing though we have kept the same system , which is designed to maintain the price system as is , and that means a class or caste system , and a scarcity mode of distribution.

With the Singularity approaching , and nanotechnology , and replicator technology about here now , our system, if it keep the same approach will destroy itself , as an unworkable model.
You are absolutely right that oil and water are real issues.
I don`t know if you have ever heard the term Peak Oil . ? This term was coined by M.King Hubbert , one of the founders of the technocracy movement. This famous scientist pointed out what and how peak oil would manifest.
Lots of people may have heard about peak oil , but few know that the peak oil concept was formulated by the same person who mostly wrote the Technocracy Study Course.~!~ M.King Hubbert was a brilliant American scientist. His Hubbert curve is a mainstay of scientific thought.

Global competition has sharpened for water and oil to the point where , as we know, there is a war being fought over them now. Iraq is a perfect example of the Globalism system destroying an entire country to steal resources.
Water in that area also is coveted and these two precious resources are fought over in lives there.

Keep in mind that oil is a problem in a price system Food Blogger and not one for N. America if technocracy is used.
Big global concerns, corporations , which care not a whit for America are just exploiting our price system method to make money.
The technology is available now to produce oil from recycling carbon based material.
Also solar power is the source of all the energy originally, which photosynthethis made into oil anyway. What I mean is that we can go to the sun directly now for power , and also hydro power.
So, Why don`t we.? We could be driving electric cars.
We are not a creative society , haven`t been for some time.
Money is the goal.
By hook or by crook , profit is the motive. This leads to a bad society and does not lead to a innovative society as many people think.
In a price system people always fall back on war, to get resources.
It is simpler than purchasing things.
We have a window of opportunity before our resource base is destroyed and then we are doomed.
The clock is ticking as to change for N.America.
If we do not change a nightmare ala James Kunstler ensues , of an even more fascist/authoritarian society than we have now.
Class warfare then will destroy America.
Money and power going to the economic elite.
This system destroys itself because it is anti-human and uncreative.
Technocracy seeks to change the Rules of the Game. People would not be rewarded for stealing oil or water , and conservation and stewardship were concepts that were practically invented by the technocracy movement.

Another point to make here is that agribusiness is destroying our land and water base to make money.

Money is an abstract concept that operates the Price System. It measures debt, which is not a real thing.

We are producing vast amounts of food for export to make money. This is akin to destroying the house you live in .
Globalization is simply a ruse to divide up the natural resources of the American continent among the rest of the world.
Why.?
Money measures nothing real, but debt , an abstract concept used to control people.
Technocracy advocates energy accounting instead of a money system. This would be a right of citizenship. The aim of it is to increase the standard of living and keep within the parameters of sustainable abundance.
